ABOUT NXT

Nxt is is a fascinating program made by lego on August 1, 2009. This block could be made into different things that were never thought of before. This was until the MINDSTORMS EV3 came out. This was the new generation of 'robot' technology.

Why NXT?

Our team chose to do NXT because we won the NXT in a lottery. Instead of spending alot of money on an EV3 robot, we used that money to buy extra parts for our robot.

Fun Facts:
Did you know NXT was not omly the NXT out there? There is also the original NXT robot. It was called NXT. Even though we are using the term 'NXT' it is actually

NXT 2.0.

What we are doing

Tray Unloader

The tray unloader is a NXT that opens the tray of the sorting tray to unload the balls.

Robotic arm

Right now, we are working on building a robotic arm that will pick up balls from the sorting tray and put it in to the catapult.

LAST EVENT

The last event was the State Robotics Competition. This was held at Lawrence Tech. Here, many different robotics teams competed to go to the World Competition. Top six would advance to the next level. We came in fourth and moved up. We have worked really hard to make additional enhancements in last two weeks for this World championship.
