Our NXT project is about a color ball factory with 4 different main parts.



The Dispenser tray
The dispenser tray is a tray that holds all of the balls.
On the dispenser tray, there is a color sensor. This color sensor senses the ball the ball and then the dispenser tray dispenses it.




The Sorting Tray
The sorting tray is a tray with 4 compartments. These compartments hold 4 different colored balls; blue, green, yellow, and red. Since this is a quadrilateral, evey time it rotates, it rotates 90 degrees.





The Catapult and the robotic arm
The catapult is a hand that throws balls into the dispenser tray. The robotic arm takes the balls from the sorting tray
and puts it in to the catapult.

The Tray Opener
The tray opener is an arm that opens the gates of the sorting tray. The open gate enables unloading of the balls from the sorting tray, and these balls can be then moved to packaging.
